I saw you look away
Is what you've seen too much to take
Or are you blind and seeing nothing?

-Bullet For My Valentine : Hands Of Blood-

My heart is worn out to keep beating
My lungs exhausted by all this breathing
My mind's too tired to keep grieving
My throat is too sore for more screaming
My eyes too swollen for more weeping
My wounds are too dry for more bleeding
My blood too drained for more streaming

!!Rentetan Kenaikan Harga Minyak
( Tuesday, June 17, 2008 )

almost 3 minggu harga minyak naik, and harini dah hari keberapa depa bayaq subsidi? Lost count, depa bukak jugak hari ahad ek? Ahak, desperately trying to satisfy everone's need. Not gonna happen. Increasing the level of hate-o-meter toward them, ah hell, you guys know fairly well, this 'them' iam referring too. And yes, damn them. Hah. So, this entry aku saja nk post general economical breakdown for those depending direly on bahan bakar petrol yg mmg membakar. Hoh

let us stick to these facts

1. My car consume like 12 litre per 100 kilometer, its not an exact figure, but its almost like that

2. Current petrol price, RM2.70 perlitre, thus making us get 18.6 litre for every RM50

3. Previous petrol price, RM1.92 perlitre, thus making us get 26 litre for every RM50

4. Making a difference of RM0.78 perlitre.

5. We are being subsidize by RM625 per year for every car lesser than 2.0cc, im entitled to this.

6. After doing several calculation, I could say my average expenditure on petrol is RM400 per month, making it a total of 8 times RM50 fillup in a month. Note that it was all before the price hike.

And lets make an assumption,

lessay I just travel to and fro my office everyday, cost me like RM20 on petrol per week to make up for a total of RM100 for five weeks (a month). This figure are much2 lesser than my average expenditure though. And ITS NOT GONNA HAPPEN. Except if I walk though. Heh

so for the current petrol price, take this as the best case scenario, RM100 per month for petrol, still

we spend RM1200 per year. And we are subsidized by RM625 per year, making the difference RM1200-RM625 = RM575, we have still to cover.

and the litre we get for RM1200

RM1200/RM2.7perlitre = 444litre

with the old subsidized price of RM1.92, we get to pay

444litre x RM1.92 = RM852.48 per year

the current price make we pay RM347 more per year than the previous price even on the best case scenario.

As for the subsidized value of RM625 per year, it could cover up to only 231.4 litre per year. What about the rest 212.52 litre? Yes. THAT is the amount we have to pay on our own. And yes, it is RM575 per year now. Heh. Note that this is the best case scenario for a car owner. Still we're being robbed.

So they say, walk, or take public transport, or ride a bike, or naik beca, whatever, this is only made possible if our destination is near our drop out point. It is impossible to commute on public transportation for those that had to travel around. And think about those doing logistic, courier, stockist, busses, taxi even, they rely on petrol to get the job done. So? Thinking that there are no breakeven point in all these matter make me wanna puke. Huh. Fuel price hike are making a chain reaction to everything. Everything went on a hike, except fuel consumption itself. It went down by 30%, good for those who could afford to make a change. Rob the gov subsidy, and go on public transport. Haha. Its our right to do so. Wait for my next episode of 'Rentetan Kenaikan Harga Minyak : Episod 2' heh.
